Ukrainians will begin mass checks from July 1: who will be affected and what threatens.


From July 1 of this year, the Ukrainian government will start conducting checks on the status of internally displaced persons, including those who do not receive financial assistance from the state. This initiative is aimed at identifying individuals who have left the country but have not reported this to the relevant authorities.
Ukraine will begin large-scale checks of the population from July 1.
According to the new rules, if an internally displaced person has been abroad for more than three months without valid reasons, their status may be revoked. Valid reasons include long-term treatment, rehabilitation, business trips, or the loss of relatives.
Government plans and actions of displaced persons
The Ukrainian government plans to start checks from July 1, aimed at identifying displaced persons who have left abroad without notifying the relevant authorities. The main goal of such actions is to identify those who may lose their status as internally displaced persons if they have been abroad for more than three months without valid reasons. After returning to Ukraine, these persons will have the opportunity to restore their documents through social protection agencies or the 'Diya' electronic platform.
