«What surprises me in this Russian war against us is that the people who call themselves believers in Russia, who should have been the first to condemn this bloodshed, not only did not condemn it, but called this war sacred. What a disgrace to these archpriests and priests. We categorically condemn this latest crime of the Russian godless people, unbelieving individuals, for believers do not act this way. These are people who have lost faith, who have lost conscience,» said Yevlohiy in Russian.

At the same time, the head of the Moscow church in Ukraine, Metropolitan Onufriy, did not respond to the attack of the occupiers. As reported in the Sumy diocese, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord, where Metropolitan Yevlohiy led the Liturgy, was damaged by the Russian strike. The blast wave damaged windows and shattered glass in the sanctuary.
