Repair of Quays in Chornomorsk Port in Odesa Region — Details.


The Administration of Seaports of Ukraine has decided to invest over 50 million hryvnias in the repair of 16 quays in Chornomorsk port of Odesa region. This is an important procedure that will bring the outdated port infrastructure in order, ensure the safety of navigation, and enhance its technical capabilities.
Repair of Quays
As part of the project, it is planned to replace rubber fenders, repair facades, strengthen reinforced concrete structures, and install additional protective elements on 16 quays. The first phase of work is planned for 2025-2026, when 176 fenders will be installed on 7 quays to enable servicing of large vessels.
Need for Repair
The need for repair arose due to the wear of existing fenders, which have been in use for over 40 years. In addition, conducting major repairs will increase safety levels and expand the capabilities of Chornomorsk port.
'State Enterprise 'AMPU' systematically continues to modernize critical port infrastructure to ensure resilience and competitiveness of Ukrainian ports even under wartime conditions,'— the AMPU message states.
