The USA has resumed the issuance of student visas, but there is a catch.

The US State Department has announced the resumption of the student visa issuance process for foreign nationals, which was temporarily suspended. Now, applicants will have to provide access to their social media accounts for verification by consular staff.
If a negative attitude towards the USA, its government, culture, or institutions is found in the applicant for a student visa, they may be denied. The State Department explained that refusal to provide access to social media will be considered an attempt to hide subversive activities online.
The administration of US President Donald Trump previously suspended interviews for new student visas. However, a Federal Court in California prohibited the administration from canceling the legal status of foreign students without individual consideration of their cases.
This step has provoked protests from the Trump administration, but the courts have opposed the cancellation of foreign students' statuses without careful consideration of the circumstances.
The US government is once again opening doors for foreign students, but now more attention will be paid to their social media. This new measure may affect the process of obtaining student visas and create additional obstacles for applicants who have a negative attitude towards the country or its policies. The Trump administration continues to fight for its visa policy, but the judicial system defends the rights of foreign students.
