Ryanair increases the size of hand luggage - what we know.

The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair plans to increase the size of hand luggage by 20%. This is related to the introduction of new EU standards.
This is reported by BBC.
New Ryanair rules
It is noted that passengers will be allowed to bring a backpack or laptop bag with a size of up to 40×30×20 cm into the cabin without any additional charge. Currently, passengers can take a bag measuring 40×25×20 cm without extra fees. The free hand luggage must weigh less than 10 kg and fit under the seat in front of the passenger.
The company reported that the new rules will come into effect in the coming weeks, as the devices for measuring luggage size have already been adapted to the new standard. Ryanair did not explain what exactly is behind the increase in the size of hand luggage.
As a result of the introduction of new European standards, the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair plans to make life easier for passengers by allowing a larger size for free hand luggage.
