According to preliminary estimates, the damage to the nature of the occupied peninsula may reach at least 3 trillion hryvnias. This information has been forwarded to the UN.The Crimean Tatar Resource Center has published an analytical report that was submitted to the UN. The report emphasizes that Russia has systematically harmed the environment since the occupation of Crimea, conducting military exercises in nature reserves, logging forests, and polluting soils.The Crimean Tatar Resource Center has called on the international community to support the monitoring of human rights and biodiversity in the occupied territories, to support NGOs in documenting violations, and to ensure the participation of indigenous peoples in shaping environmental protection policies. The Ministry of Ecology estimated the damage to Ukraine's nature in Crimea at 3 trillion hryvnias, although the amount may be even higher due to mined and occupied territories. Recent news has also highlighted that the Russians are exporting cultural values from Crimea and planning to build a factory using Chinese equipment.
