Russia is hit by severe weather: St. Petersburg at risk of flooding, a hurricane in Omsk.

Today, July 4, the water level in St. Petersburg has risen to the point where the dam needed to be closed to protect the city from a rare flood. A warning continues that the water level may rise further, reaching 190 cm. This is the first similar flood in July since 1865.
At the same Time, people in the Omsk region are suffering from a hurricane due to heavy rain and strong winds. One woman was injured when a balcony collapsed due to the wind, which caused a dangerous incident.
«The strong wind caught the balcony slab and threw it, while the woman was standing on the balcony of the first floor of a residential building on Hertzen Street,» the regional prosecutor's office reported.
Additionally, drones attacked the city of Sergiev Posad in the Moscow region. The attack led to damage to a factory that produced warheads for 'Shahed' type drones, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
A rare flood has occurred in St. Petersburg, leading to the closure of the dam to protect the city. At the same time, the wild weather in the Omsk region has created hurricane conditions that led to dangerous situations for local residents. There have also been reports of threats from drones in the Moscow region, which is an additional challenge for ensuring security in the area.
