Problems with passports — who will be fined among Ukrainians in July.


Citizens of Ukraine must update their photo in their passport booklet when they turn 25 and 45 years old. This is a mandatory requirement for each individual.
This is indicated on the website of the State Migration Service.
What Ukrainians need to know
According to information, citizens have one month to update their photo in the document. If after this period the passport booklet does not have a new image, it will be replaced with a modern ID card.
There are no restrictions on the use of the paper passport in Ukraine. However, the passport may expire in case of a change of surname or other personal data, damage to the document, or failure to update the photo within a month after reaching the relevant age.
How much will Ukrainians pay for an expired passport
If the photo is not updated in Time in the old-style passport or the replacement for the new document is not made, it will be considered invalid. According to Article 197 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, using such a passport entails a fine ranging from 17 to 51 hryvnias.
