The Hidden Gem of Portugal with an Incredible Templar Castle.

Tourists have discovered the incredible Portuguese city of Tomar, located between Porto and Lisbon. This is reported by Daily Mail.
What's Special About Tomar
According to a real estate expert, this historic city is one of the best places to move to in Portugal.
Tomar is known for its rich history and outstanding architecture, including the Convent of Christ, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This convent was once the stronghold of the Templars. Tourists can visit it and learn more about the history of these famous knights.
Travelers should also visit the Castle of Tomar. This is another Templar site, built in 1160. Every four years a unique Festival of the Sevens takes place at this castle. On this day, girls carry tabuleiros (stacks of bread and flowers, crowned with a crown) on their heads and parade through the city. The last celebration took place in 2023, and the next is scheduled for July 2027.
Tomar is located a short distance from Lisbon, taking just over an hour by train. Therefore, tourists visiting the Portuguese capital will not find it difficult to take a trip to this ancient city.
We have previously discussed the July holidays in various European countries, and also suggested where most Ukrainians should vacation this summer.
In Tomar, tourists can enjoy the rich history and captivating architecture by visiting landmarks such as the Convent of Christ and the Castle of Tomar. The Festival of the Sevens, which takes place every four years and attracts many guests, is also worth remembering. The city offers unique opportunities for an interesting and enriching vacation in a historical setting.
