The US government has decided to suspend some arms shipments to Ukraine, announcing this on Tuesday. According to Pentagon information, this concerns interceptors for the Patriot systems, precision artillery shells, and missiles for F-16 aircraft. The reason for the suspension is concern over the lack of sufficient stocks of this weaponry for the needs of the US and its allies.

These means were crucial for repelling Russian attacks at the most dangerous moments of the war, reports The New York Times.

Concerns about the depletion of US weapon stocks are not new. This has been raised in the Biden administration due to the shortage of supplies in the arms market. Most of the necessary weapons have already been sent to Ukraine, but contractual deliveries will continue until next year.
