Price Fever: Sunflower Prices Surge to Historical Highs.

Buying prices for sunflower in Ukraine continue to rise as processors have successfully sold oil and now need to secure raw materials. However, farmers should hurry, considering the downward price trends in neighboring markets for soy and rapeseed, reports the Electronic Grain Exchange of Ukraine.
Price Trends in the Market
Last week, sunflower prices with an oil content of 50% in Ukraine rose by another 200-300 UAH/ton to 26,500-26,800 UAH/ton or 555-565 $/ton excluding VAT with delivery to the plant against the backdrop of the rising dollar exchange rate and sunflower oil prices. Export prices for sunflower oil in Ukraine remain at the level of 1,100-1,110 $/ton with delivery to the Black Sea ports, but an increase in the offer price of Russian oil to 1,130-1,150 $/ton FOB is noted.
Amid rising sunflower prices in Ukraine due to the demand for oil and the increasing dollar exchange rate, farmers are advised to trade cautiously and consider competition in the global market, particularly from Russia.
Ukrainian farmers need to closely monitor the price trends in the sunflower market as they continue to rise due to increased demand for oil and other factors. It is essential to choose the optimal Time to sell the crop, considering competition from other countries, including Russia, to secure the best conditions in the market.
