These currencies have disappeared — which money can no longer be used.

There are many currencies in the world that were once official money but were later withdrawn from circulation. Such currencies include, for example, the German mark or the Soviet ruble.
The editorial team of Novyny.LIVE reports on which currencies in the world are considered outdated and have ceased to exist.
Disappeared currencies — how many are there in the world
Currently, there are about 600 currencies in the world that have officially gone out of circulation, although they were previously used for various goods and services, reports the publication Bitrawr.
The list of outdated currencies includes:
- Yugoslav dinar;
- Ljubljana lira;
- Hungarian forint;
- coupon-karbovanets;
- Azerbaijani tuman;
- Czechoslovak koruna;
- Soviet ruble;
- East African florin;
- Austrian krone.
The German mark, which was the official currency in Germany since 1948, is also on this list. This currency played an important role in the recovery of the economy after the war, but it was abandoned in favor of the euro in 2002.
Recently, we talked about dollars from 1990 that are still in circulation and are acceptable means of payment, no less attractive than new currency editions. Also, find out which currency is better to have with you during your holiday in Albania.
Over 600 currencies are no longer officially in use, but they still hold historical value and interest for collectors and economists. They are a testament to past times and the economic views of the countries where they were in circulation.Read also
