Unexpected level of violence: shelling in Khmelnytskyi region
On the night of May 25, Khmelnytskyi became a target of shelling from Russian troops, resulting in the destruction of civilian infrastructure and human casualties. According to Serhii Tiurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi OVA, at least four people were injured, five of whom were hospitalized, with one woman in critical condition.
Among the consequences of the attack are the destruction of six private houses and damage to more than 20 other structures, including a school and transportation facilities. It is also reported that in the city of Konotop in Sumy region, the largest strike since World War II occurred, leading to further destruction.
Other regions were also affected: in Ternopil and Kyiv regions, damages and human casualties were recorded as a result of the attacks. The situation remains tense, but rescue operations continue, and authorities report a cessation of hostile attacks.
